Two pages. That is the entire first cut at Colgate Transcend 2026.
Most corporate competitions ask for a 15-slide deck before they even look at you. Colgate does the opposite. Transcend 2026 opens with a case reveal, then asks teams of three for a 1 to 2 page PDF. Nothing more. That constraint is the competition. It is also why this is one of the highest signal-to-effort challenges of the season, with ₹7,00,000 on the table across two tracks and a PPI into the LEAP 2026 summer internship process for every national finalist.
Pick your track, then register
Two separate listings, one competition brand
Transcend 2026 runs as two independent Unstop listings, one for Sales & Marketing and one for Supply Chain. You apply to the track that matches your specialisation. Team size is three members, and eligibility is limited to first year students on the full time flagship two year MBA programme from the shortlisted campuses. Confirm your campus appears on the listed institutes before you build a team.

Register on the track that fits you
Team size is 3 members. Both tracks share the same prize pool structure, timeline shape and LEAP 2026 PPI benefit for national finalists. The official Unstop listing is the only source of truth for eligibility and deadlines.
Prizes and PPIs worth ₹7,00,000 per track. Winners take ₹5,00,000 and a certificate, 1st Runner-Up takes ₹2,00,000 and a certificate.
💼
The real prize

📄
Submission format
Rounds 1 and 2 are each a 1 to 2 page PDF. The semi final is a 5 minute presentation plus 5 minute Q&A. Brevity is scored, not just tolerated.

Finalist perks
Colgate gift hampers and goodies for all finalists, plus a national finale hosted at the Colgate-Palmolive head office in Mumbai in front of the CP India leadership team.
What Colgate is actually buying
Transcend is a LEAP screening round in disguise
Colgate-Palmolive India has been in the market since 1937 and runs one of the deepest distribution networks in Indian FMCG. Its graduate hiring programme, LEAP, is small and selective. Transcend exists to widen the top of that funnel, which is why the PPI benefit is tied to national finalists rather than only to winners. From Colgate's side, every submission is a low cost sample of how a candidate thinks about consumers, channels or networks.
That reframes how you should treat the competition. You are not writing to win a slide contest. You are writing an artefact that a category manager or a supply chain lead will read in under two minutes and then decide whether they want to spend 30 minutes interviewing you. In the 2025 season, the national champion team came out of IIM Mumbai, and past runners-up have publicly credited the competition with converting into LEAP internship interviews. The pathway is real, and it is short.
The constraint is the test
Any team can fill 15 slides. Very few can compress a consumer diagnosis or a network bottleneck into two pages without losing the argument. Colgate is testing prioritisation, not endurance. Whatever you cut is as visible to the jury as whatever you keep.
The funnel, stage by stage
From case reveal to the Mumbai head office
0
Round 0
Virtual case study reveal and Q&A
Colgate hosts a virtual launch event where the case is released and the team answers questions live. The case brief published here defines the deliverables for every round that follows, so this session is not optional viewing.
💡 If you miss it live, the recording is usually posted. Watch the Q&A section twice, that is where organisers quietly clarify scoring priorities.
1
Round 1
The first pillar, in 1 to 2 pages
All registered teams submit a short PDF answering the first pillar of the case. On the S&M track this is framed around understanding the consumer. On the Supply Chain track it is a diagnostic root cause analysis of CP India's quick commerce supply performance, where you must identify the single most critical bottleneck across network, logistics, manufacturing and volatility.
💡 Answer the exact question asked. Teams that use Round 1 to preview their full solution routinely lose to teams that simply nail the diagnosis.
2
Round 2
The second pillar, strategy
Shortlisted teams submit another 1 to 2 page PDF. S&M teams build a behaviour change strategy on top of their consumer read. Supply Chain teams propose a high impact strategy that fixes the bottleneck they named in Round 1. Consistency between your two submissions is part of the evaluation.
💡 Reference your Round 1 conclusion explicitly in the first two lines. Judges reading dozens of PDFs should never have to reconstruct your logic chain.
3
Mentorship
One on one with the Colgate team
Before the semi finals, every semi finalist team gets an exclusive one on one mentorship session with the Colgate team to sharpen their solution. This is a genuine advantage and also an informal assessment, so treat it as a working session rather than a courtesy call.
💡 Walk in with two or three specific open questions. Vague requests for feedback get vague feedback.
4
Semi finals
5 minute pitch, 5 minute Q&A
Semi finalists present to the jury. Supply Chain teams are additionally expected to scale up, integrating all four domains into one unified solution rather than defending an isolated fix. Top teams from here qualify for the grand finale.
💡 Five minutes is roughly six slides at a comfortable pace. Build for five and keep the sixth in appendix.
5
National finale
In front of CP India leadership, in Mumbai
Finalists present at the Colgate-Palmolive head office in Mumbai to the CP India leadership team. This is where the winner and runner up are decided, and where the LEAP 2026 PPI conversations begin for everyone in the room.
💡 Prepare an implementation answer. Leadership audiences almost always ask what the first 90 days of your recommendation look like.
A note on accuracy
Dates and round names shift between editions
The structure above is taken from the live 2026 Unstop listings for both tracks and cross checked against the 2025 edition. Organisers can revise deliverables, deadlines and eligible campuses without notice. Read your track's listing end to end before you start work.
Track specific reads
S&M and Supply Chain reward very different instincts
Sales & Marketing
Behaviour change, not brand love
Colgate's core categories are habit driven. Oral care growth in India comes from frequency, penetration in smaller towns and getting people to upgrade, not from persuading someone to admire a brand. Ground your consumer pillar in a specific behaviour you want to shift, name the barrier honestly, then design against that barrier.
Supply Chain
Quick commerce breaks old playbooks
The 2026 case centres on CP India's quick commerce performance. Dark store replenishment, smaller and more frequent orders, higher fill rate expectations and demand volatility all stress a network built for general trade. Your diagnosis should explain why the legacy network struggles, not just that it does.
Winning inside two pages
Six habits that separate shortlisted teams from the rest
1
Lead with the answer, then defend it
Open the PDF with your recommendation in one sentence. Everything after it is evidence. Teams that build up slowly to a conclusion lose the reader before page two, and in a two page format there is no page three to recover in.
2
Pick one bottleneck, not four
Both tracks explicitly ask you to prioritise. Listing every possible issue reads as hedging. Name the single biggest driver, state what you are deliberately deprioritising and why, then commit.
3
Use Colgate's real portfolio
Colgate Strong Teeth, Visible White, Colgate Total, Palmolive, and the toothbrush and mouthwash lines all behave differently by channel and price tier. Naming a specific SKU or category shows homework. Saying "the brand" shows none.
4
Show a number you can defend
You will not have internal data. Build a simple, transparent estimate instead, state your assumptions in a single line and show the arithmetic. A defensible rough number consistently beats confident adjectives.
5
Design the page like a document, not a deck
Two page PDFs are read, not projected. Use a clear headline, tight sections and at most one exhibit per page. Six point font used to smuggle in extra content signals that you could not prioritise.
6
Plan for the integration ask early
The semi final expects a unified solution, especially on the Supply Chain track. Teams that treat Rounds 1 and 2 as disconnected assignments end up rebuilding from scratch under time pressure. Sketch the full arc in week one.

Run the maths on effort. Two short PDFs get you to the semi final. A five minute pitch gets you to Mumbai. Compared to competitions that demand a quiz, a simulation and a full deck before anyone reads your thinking, Transcend asks for very little upfront and pays out an internship interview at the finalist stage. If your specialisation matches a track, the case for entering is close to automatic.
