ACG Pack A Pitch 2.0 · Management Category · 2nd Year Only
A ₹3.25 lakh pitch battle, plus a shot at an ACG PPI.
ACG has opened Pack A Pitch 2.0 for second year MBA students, and the Management Category is built around the skills the firm actually hires for: clear thinking, sharp communication and investment-quality conviction. With ₹1,50,000 for winners, ₹1,00,000 for the first runner-up and ₹75,000 for the second runner-up, the cash is meaningful. More importantly, top performers can earn a PPI opportunity with ACG. If you are a 2nd year student with an interest in private markets, consulting-style problem solving or high-stakes presentations, this is one of the most focused competitions on campus.

Pack A Pitch 2.0 is an exclusive 2nd year MBA competition. It rewards structured thinking, crisp storytelling and the ability to defend a recommendation under pressure. The Management Category is not a generic case contest; it is designed to identify talent that fits ACG's requirements. Every participant gets a certificate and access to senior ACG leaders, while campuses with strong nomination numbers also get a Campus Winner.
What is actually on the table
The prize pool and the real reward
The headline numbers are straightforward. Winners take home ₹1,50,000, the first runner-up receives ₹1,00,000 and the second runner-up gets ₹75,000. That is a combined prize pool of ₹3.25 lakh, which is competitive even among the larger campus competitions this season.

Beyond the cash, ACG is offering PPI opportunities for students who demonstrate exceptional talent and fit with the firm's requirements. That makes this a recruitment funnel, not just a contest. For 2nd year students entering final placements, a PPI from a firm like ACG can be a serious differentiator.
🎓
Who is eligible
2nd year MBA students only. This is deliberately restricted to the placement cohort, which is why the PPI opportunity is central to the value proposition.
🏆
The outcome
Cash prizes + PPI opportunities. Top performers get a pre-placement interview with ACG based on fit and quality of submission.
📜
Participation perks
Certificate for every participant, plus interaction with senior ACG leaders and a chance to feature on ACG's official social media.
🏫
Campus Winner
Campuses with 5+ team nominations will have a Campus Winner selected, with certificates and CV points.
Who should compete
This is for 2nd years who can build and defend a pitch
The Management Category is designed around the skills ACG values: research, synthesis, strategic framing and confident delivery. You do not need to be a finance specialist to do well, but you do need to be comfortable with ambiguity, numbers and live questioning.
The most natural fits are students interested in private equity, investment banking, strategy consulting, corporate development and general management roles where boardroom-style communication matters. If your CV leans towards finance, consulting or founder-style storytelling, this competition gives you a structured stage to prove it.
Worth checking
Confirm your campus nomination threshold
The Campus Winner benefit is triggered only when a campus sends 5 or more team nominations. If your campus is close to that number, coordinate with classmates to cross the threshold. The official Unstop listing is the best place to verify current rules.
The journey, stage by stage
How Pack A Pitch 2.0 likely runs
While ACG has not published every detail of the round structure, the format is consistent with other pitch competitions. Expect a registration window, a case or problem statement release, a submission or pitch deck round, and a final evaluation where teams present to ACG leadership. The PPI is awarded on overall performance and fit, so every stage is a filter for the final conversation.
1
The brief
Register and understand the problem
Register through the official Unstop listing. Once the case goes live, read it for the decision the protagonist has to make. A pitch competition is not an essay contest; it is a recommendation with evidence.
Write the one-line recommendation first. Every slide, chart and argument should ladder back to that single answer.
2
The submission
Build a pitch deck, not a research report
ACG evaluates clarity, structure and conviction. A strong deck states the problem, the recommendation, the supporting analysis, the risks and the implementation path in as few slides as possible.
Use the appendix for backup analysis. The main deck should be scannable in under three minutes.
3
The evaluation
Present and defend in front of ACG leaders
Finalists pitch to a panel of senior ACG professionals. This is where the PPI is decided. The evaluation will cover strategic thinking, financial or operational rigour, communication quality and cultural fit.
Prepare for the counter-argument. The best pitches anticipate the three strongest objections and address them before the panel asks.
How to run it
Five things that separate a shortlist from a winner
1
Start with a clear, defensible recommendation
The judges should know your answer in the first sixty seconds. Everything after that is proof. Avoid decks that describe the problem for five slides before stating a recommendation.
2
Build a team with complementary skills
A pitch needs research, structure, numbers and delivery. One person should own the narrative, one should own the analysis, and one should own the Q&A rehearsal. Cross-functional teams usually outperform lopsided ones.
3
Anchor every argument to a number or a fact
ACG is a firm that lives in data. Market size, growth rate, margin impact, payback period, risk-adjusted returns, whatever fits the case. A recommendation without numbers is an opinion.
4
Design the deck for a senior audience
Large fonts, minimal text, one idea per slide, consistent formatting. Senior professionals scan fast. If your slide cannot be understood in ten seconds, it needs to be split or cut.
5
Rehearse the live pitch more than the deck
A great deck with a weak presentation rarely wins. Record your rehearsals, time them strictly, and practise transitions so the pitch feels like one coherent argument rather than a sequence of slides.
The honest read
Pack A Pitch 2.0 is one of the cleaner 2nd year competitions this season because the reward structure is transparent and the PPI opportunity is real. The cash prizes are attractive, but the real value is the chance to convert a strong performance into a placement conversation with ACG.
Register early, build a team that can both analyse and present, and treat the pitch as a placement interview in disguise.
