Britannia Creatovate 2.0 · FMCG Hiring Case · Team of 2
A three slide PDF, a two minute video, and a shot at a summer internship offer.
Creatovate is Britannia's campus flagship, and version 2.0 carries pre-placement offers and prizes worth ₹10,00,000 across its tracks. What makes it unusual is how little it asks for up front. No 40 slide appendix, no elimination quiz, no fifteen page report. Round 1 is three to five slides in PDF and a self-recorded two minute video of you explaining them. Clear that and you are presenting to Britannia leaders on your own campus, then interviewing on the same day. Clear that, and you are flown to Bangalore.
Where the season stands
The two MBA tracks, Sales and Marketing and HR, closed registrations on 16 August 2026. The S&M track pulled 2,059 registrations against just 161 on HR, which tells you exactly where the competition sat. Campus Finales have already run at MDI on 24 August and SIBM Pune on 2 September, and the S&M Campus Finale window runs to 16 September. If you are through, the section on the Campus Finale is where your prep should sit. If you missed it, read this as the Creatovate 3.0 brief. Britannia has kept the format stable across both editions.
What is actually on the table
Prizes worth ₹10 lakhs, but the real reward is the offer
Britannia lists Creatovate 2.0 as carrying pre-placement offers and prizes worth ₹10,00,000. That headline number is the pool across the full festival, not a single cheque, and the tracks share it. Chasing the cash misreads the contest. Read the official round description carefully and the intent is unambiguous. Selected teams move on to personal interviews and the final chosen participants bag a summer internship offer with Britannia.
That is a recruitment funnel wearing a competition badge. For a first year MBA student graduating in 2028, a summer internship offer secured in September, months before your campus summers process even begins, is worth considerably more than any prize money on the listing. And because the Campus Finale attaches a personal interview to the presentation, you are being assessed as a candidate from the moment you clear Round 1.

👥
Team format
Strictly teams of two. No solo entries, no trios. Both names are on the video.
🎓
Eligibility, MBA tracks
First year students in full-time two year MBA or PGDM programmes, graduating in 2028. Second years are out.
🏫

Invite-only campus list. FMS Delhi, MDI Gurgaon and SIBM Pune appear on the confirmed lists for the MBA tracks.
✈️
Grand Finale
Finalist teams are flown to Britannia's Executive Office in Bangalore to present a five slide deck to the leadership team.
The eligibility line most students get wrong
Creatovate is closed campus, and each track has its own list
This is not an open national competition. Britannia runs Creatovate as an invite-only drive across a short list of institutes, and the list differs by track. The Sales and Marketing and HR tracks are MBA-only and restricted to the batch of 2028. The Manufacturing track sits with fifth semester undergraduate engineering students at campuses like Thapar. Before you plan anything, open the track page and confirm your institute is on the eligible list, because an ineligible submission is discarded regardless of quality.
The tracks
Five doors into the same building
Creatovate 2.0 is not a single competition. It is a festival with parallel functional tracks, each with its own Unstop listing, its own eligible campus list and its own timeline. Two are MBA facing. The rest sit closer to engineering and operations talent. Knowing this matters, because a friend on another campus may still have a live door open when yours has shut.
Sales and Marketing
MBA first years, batch of 2028. 2,059 registrations. Campus Finale window 3 to 16 September 2026. Registration closed
A separate functional track under the same Creatovate 2.0 festival. Registration closed
Purchase and Manufacturing
Manufacturing runs for fifth semester undergraduates, batch of 2028, at campuses including Thapar University. It opened on 1 September and was the last door still live.
The number worth staring at
The HR track closed with 161 registrations. The Sales and Marketing track closed with 2,059. Same company, same format, same reward pool, same eligible batch, and a roughly thirteen times difference in field size.
If you are an HR specialisation student on an eligible campus and you skipped Creatovate because it looked crowded, you skipped one of the least contested routes to an FMCG summer internship offer this season. Note that for Creatovate 3.0.
How the rounds actually work
Three rounds, and the first one is deliberately small
1
Round 1 · 5 to 16 August 2026
Case launch and submission
Teams pick one of three case study projects that match their interest and crack it. The submission is a three to five slide presentation in PDF, plus a self-recorded two minute video in MP4 where you explain the slides and walk through the solution. Britannia is explicit that the video must show both the solution and the presenter on screen.
The three slide floor is the hardest constraint in this competition. You cannot hide a weak recommendation behind volume. Lead with the answer on slide one, put the evidence on slide two, and put the execution plan and impact on slide three.
2
Round 2 · September 2026, on your campus
Campus Finale, presentation plus personal interview
Shortlisted teams present their data-backed understanding of the problem, the proposed solution and the approach to Britannia leaders in an interactive session held on campus. You get ten minutes to present, followed by a ten minute personal interview with the panel. Selected teams move to interviews and the finally chosen participants receive a summer internship offer. Britannia also requires supporting documentation for all primary research, secondary research and industry benchmarking at this stage.
The ten minute interview is not a formality bolted onto the presentation. It is half the round by time and it is where an offer is decided. Prepare as though you are in a summer placement interview, because functionally you are.

Round 3 · Bangalore
Grand Finale at the Executive Office
Shortlisted teams are flown to Britannia's Executive Office in Bangalore to present a final five slide submission to the Britannia leadership team. Same discipline as Round 1, two more slides, a much shorter room and a much more senior audience.
Rebuild the deck for the room instead of extending it. Five slides in front of leadership means one slide on the business problem, one on the insight, two on the recommendation and one on the numbers.
Understanding the company you are pitching to
Britannia is a biscuit leader trying not to stay one
Britannia was founded in 1918 and traces its origins to a group of Kolkata businessmen who began making biscuits in 1892. It is the market leader in biscuits and bakery in India, home to Good Day, Marie Gold, NutriChoice, Tiger, Milk Bikis, Treat and Bourbon. That legacy is also the strategic problem, and it is the one worth building your case around.
The company states its vision as becoming a Responsible Total Foods Company, serving products that brim with exciting goodness. Read that sentence as a brief rather than a slogan. Total Foods means the growth is expected to come from adjacencies beyond biscuits, in dairy, croissants, wafers, rusk, cakes and healthier snacking. Responsible signals nutrition, ingredient transparency and packaging sustainability. Any recommendation that helps Britannia grow outside biscuits, or defend the core against regional and private label pressure, is speaking the company's own language back to it.
The employer brand line matters too. Britannia runs on the phrase Make Things Happen, and the Creatovate listing invites students to live that promise. In a ten minute interview, a bias for execution over analysis is what the panel is listening for.
Six things that decide this contest
How to make three slides do the work of thirty
1
Pick the case you can get real data on, not the flashiest one
You choose one of three projects. The right filter is not which sounds most exciting, it is which one you can support with primary research you can actually run in eleven days. Britannia demands documentation for all primary and secondary research at the Campus Finale, so choose the case where you can genuinely talk to retailers, consumers or employees.
2
Treat the two minute video as your first interview
Britannia requires the presenter on camera alongside the solution. That is not a formatting quirk, it is a screening device. Shoot in daylight, use a plain background, hold eye contact with the lens, and script it to about 280 words. Practise until you are not reading. Most teams lose here on delivery, not on content.
3
Answer first, evidence second
With a three slide floor there is no room for a build up. Slide one should carry the recommendation as a full sentence, not a topic. If a reviewer only sees your first slide, they should already know what you are proposing and why it is worth money.
4
Size the opportunity in rupees, even roughly
FMCG panels think in volume, price, distribution reach and margin. A recommendation with a defensible number attached, even an approximate one with stated assumptions, outperforms a better idea with no number. Show the arithmetic on the slide so the panel can challenge the assumption rather than the conclusion.
5
Build your research appendix before you need it
The Campus Finale explicitly requires supporting documentation for primary research, secondary research and industry benchmarking. Teams that ran good research but never logged it scramble in September. Keep a running file of survey responses, retailer interview notes, sources and benchmark tables from day one.
6
Prepare the interview half of Round 2 separately
Ten minutes of presentation and ten minutes of personal interview are scored by the same panel in the same sitting. Rehearse your own CV, your reason for FMCG, your reason for Britannia and one failure story. Teams that only rehearse the deck lose the offer in the second half of the room.
