Accenture B-School Challenge · Season 10 · 1st and 2nd Years
The competition where you only have to beat your own campus.
Most national case competitions pool you against every B-school in the country and pay one team. Accenture's B-School Challenge does the opposite. Rewards are decided at the campus level, which means your real competition is the batch sitting next to you in class. Add a PPI with Accenture attached to every campus podium finish, and Season 10 quietly becomes one of the best odds plays of the entire season. It is open to both 1st and 2nd year MBA students.

🏁 Accenture B-School Challenge Season 10 · Hosted on Unstop
Campus-level rewards, national-level exposure
Cash prizes and PPIs are awarded per campus, so your probability of winning is dramatically higher than pooled national competitions. The official Unstop listing is the only source of truth for team size, deadlines and round details.
Three hurdles, and the middle one is genuinely new
1
Round 1
Screening on campus
The opening round filters teams within each campus. Past seasons have run this as a short quiz or preliminary case exercise. Treat it as table stakes: it exists to separate serious teams from casual registrations before the real work begins.
💡 Do not skip the basics. Screening rounds in this competition historically test business awareness and structured thinking, not niche trivia.
2
Round 2
AI-Powered Case Submission & Presentation
This is the headline change for Season 10. Teams work on a case with access to premium Agentic AI tools provided as part of the round, then submit and present their solution. The tool access is the leveller: every team gets the same horsepower, so what differentiates you is the quality of the brief you give the AI and the judgement you apply to its output.
💡 Spend your first hour learning the tool's strengths and blind spots before touching the case. Teams that prompt iteratively and verify every AI-generated number will outrun teams that copy the first output.

Later rounds
The business simulation and the grand finale
From what previous year participants report, the advanced rounds have featured a full fledged business simulation where you act as the COO of a company, followed by a grand finale where the top 3 teams win exclusive gizmo goodie bags and career opportunities with Accenture. Expect a similar spine this year, and confirm the exact sequence on the official listing.
💡 The finale rewards stage craft as much as analysis. Rehearse transitions between speakers until they are invisible.
A note on accuracy
Round names and simulation details shift between seasons
The structure above combines the live Season 10 listing with reported formats from previous editions. Accenture can revise round deliverables, tools and timelines without notice. Read the official Unstop listing end to end before you start preparing.
The COO simulation, from past participants
You cannot pre-write a simulation. You can pre-think it.
The simulation round has changed over the years, but the core has stayed consistent. You are placed in the seat of a COO and handed business data. Across successive decision windows you make calls on pricing, capacity, inventory and spending, and every decision moves metrics like revenue, costs, efficiency and profit. Your final score is simply how well your business performs.
This is deliberately hard to prepare for in the traditional sense. There is no deck to polish and no template to memorise. What you can do is train the mental models the simulation silently tests, so your decisions under time pressure are fast and coherent.
The four models worth revising
Revenue = Price × Volume. Every pricing decision is a bet on volume response. Cost = Fixed + Variable. Scale decisions change your breakeven, not just your output. Supply, demand and inventory trade-offs. Stockouts lose sales, overstock bleeds margin. Profitability thinking. Growing revenue while destroying margin is a loss, and the scoreboard knows it.
1
Read every data table before your first decision
Early rounds of a simulation seed the information you will need later. Teams that skim in round one make blind decisions in round three. Stay attentive from the first screen.
2
Think in trade-offs, not in right answers
Each decision helps one metric and hurts another. Say the trade-off out loud inside your team before committing: what are we gaining, what are we accepting, and does that fit our strategy?
3
Pick a strategy and stay consistent
Premium pricing with tight inventory, or volume play with aggressive capacity. Both can win. Switching identity mid-simulation is what usually sinks a team's score.
4
Borrow from earlier simulation prep
If you have attended consulting case sessions or worked through simulation rounds from earlier competitions this season, that practice transfers directly here. The interface changes, the arithmetic does not.
Why the odds favour you here
Campus-level rewards change the entire maths
🥇 Campus Winners
₹30,000 / team + PPI
Cash prize and a pre-placement interview with Accenture, awarded at the campus level.
🥈 1st Runners-Up
₹16,000 / team + PPI
Cash prize and a PPI with Accenture, again decided within your own campus pool.
🥉 2nd Runners-Up
₹10,000 / team + PPI
Cash prize and a PPI with Accenture. Three podium finishes per campus means three shots at the interview room.
🏆 Grand Finale, Top 3 Teams
Gizmo goodie bags + careers
Exclusive goodie bags and career opportunities with Accenture for the top 3 teams nationally.
Compare this to a pooled national final where ten thousand teams chase one winner's cheque. Here, every campus produces three rewarded teams, and all three walk away with a PPI conversation. For a 1st year building toward summer placements or a 2nd year in final placement season, this is arguably the highest probability corporate door opener of the semester.
